'SUPER' DRIFT SCHOOL (9AM to 1.30PM)

Our "bring your own car" Drift School at Mallala is a SUPER School that suits everyone from Beginners to more Experienced drivers wanting to improve their sills!

Super School will take place across both the Main Track and the Skidpan, with instructors available to jump in the car with you or give tips.

9am to 11.45am:

- The Skidpan will be wet for Donuts and Figure 8s for those new to drifting.

- For intermediate/experienced drivers or those that have progressed beyond figure 8s, Main Track will be broken down into 4 different exercises: including reverse southerns, northerns back'n'forth, small peanut track, and the esses.

Tandems are allowed and encouraged for those willing to try!

Drivers can move through all exercises as they please!

12.15pm to 1.30pm

All School Drivers will then have a chance to put their new skills to the test on the Full Main Track! (Skidpan will remain open for Donuts & Figure 8s during this time).

If you wish to continue with the Arvo Prac at 1.30pm as well, please first register here and then visit the Arvo Prac page to enter there - they are separate events.

Students for the BYO Car Drift School are required to bring their own car to use and learn in. If you do not have your own car, we have a "Drift Car Rental" opportunity (see separate event registration page).

What you get: Exercises will go from 9am - 11.45am, with a lunch break then an hour of open main track from 12:15pm-1:30pm. Instructors included/available for both.

WHAT GROUP DO I ENTER?

While exercises wont specifically be grouped, here is the below information for groups:

BEGINNER

INTERMEDIATE
Intermediate drivers can link corners and may have progressed from School or other track time. No cage is required.

Tandems are allowed in all groups!

During 9am to 11.45am, non-instructor passengers are permitted in non-caged cars. However, during open track sessions from 12.15pm, non-instructor passengers are only permitted in cars with a minimum half cage and OEM side intrusion beams.

What kind of car do I need?

Do I have to have a roll cage?
- There is also no requirement for a roll cage in Beginner or Intermediate groups, however, if you don’t run a cage, you must have OEM side intrusion beams fitted as a minimum (meaning you haven't gutted the door).
