Learn to Drift Sessions with Rental Car

For those who want to try out Drifting but don't have the car to do so, Drifting SA offers limited 'Learn 2 Drift' sessions where we supply you with your own Drift car and a personal teacher!

Each session includes:

• 30 minutes on a wet skidpan in a drift car with an experienced instructor from Drifting SA
• Guidance on initiating donut drifts around a cone and/or figure 8 drifting 
• Helmet provided.

CAR OPTIONS

- Automatic V35 Skyline
- Manual V35 Skyline (must have manual driving experience)

The sessions take place on a large Wet Skidpan (at either The Bend Motorsport Park or Mallala Motorsport Park), ensuring a safe and controlled environment.

As a small organisation, these sessions are strictly limited and sell out quickly!

REQUIREMENTS FOR BOOKING

• Booking opens: You will only be able to book a session one month in advance. We have limited resources and need to finalise event details before releasing spots.
• Requirements:
  • You must already be able to drive a car.
  • Minimum age: 14 years old. Anyone under 18 must contact us for approval and be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
  • Dress code: Long-sleeve cotton shirt/jumper, long pants covering your ankles, and enclosed footwear.
  • Racers Clubman Licence: A one-day event permit ($50) must be purchased. Click here to buy either a Single Event or Annual License online.
  • You must agree to our Terms and Conditions.

FAQ

Can I hire the car for the whole day? 

No, we only offer short sessions due to the high stress drifting places on the cars. This experience is designed to give you a taste of drifting, with many participants going on to buy their own cars if they enjoy it!

What dates are these sessions?

n 2025, sessions are scheduled for:

• 1 February at The Bend
• 19 July at The Bend
• 16 August at Mallala
• 25 October at Mallala

When can I book?

Spots are available on a first come, first served basis and will be released approximately one month before the session date. Due to limited availability, we cannot hold spots. Booking is via our events page when the event is announced.
