Learn to Drift Sessions with Rental Car

For those who want to try out Drifting but don't have the car to do so, Drifting SA offers 'Learn 2 Drift' sessions where we supply you with your own Drift car and a personal teacher!

Each session includes:

• 30 minutes on a wet skidpan in a drift car with an experienced instructor from Drifting SA
• Guidance on initiating donut drifts around a cone and/or figure 8 drifting 
• Helmet provided.

CAR OPTIONS

- Automatic V35 Skyline
- Manual V35 Skyline (must have manual driving experience)

The sessions take place on a large Wet Skidpan (at either The Bend Motorsport Park or Mallala Motorsport Park) in a safe and controlled environment.

REQUIREMENTS FOR BOOKING

- You must be already able to drive a car
- Minimum age is 14 years old, however anyone younger than 18 must contact us for approval before entering and have a parent/guardian with them.
- Participants must please wear long sleeve cotton shirt/jumper and long pants that cover your ankles, as well as enclosed footwear.
- A Racers Clubman Licence must be purchased. (Day single event permit is $50). Click Here to purchase either a Single Event or Annual License online

This is a great option for those who want to try out drifting!

FAQ

Can I hire the car for the whole day? 

We do not offer whole-day rental car options as drifting places a lot of stress on a car and these cars are offered as a "taste of drift" experience, leading to someone buying their own car if they enjoy the experience!

What dates are these sessions?

In 2025, we will offer the sessions on 1 February (The Bend), 19 July (The Bend), 16 August (Mallala) and 25 October (Mallala).

Unfortunately we have limited spots, we cannot hold spots, and spots are on a first come first served basis once they are released. Booking is via our events page.
