Our Events Team

Every Drifting SA event - whether it’s a laid-back practice day, drift school or a full-scale competition - is brought to life by two people working behind the scenes: Stewy Bryant and Renae Sullivan, the team behind Drift Dates.

Between them, they take care of everything in the lead-up to each event. Track bookings, schedules, judging criteria, driver communication, safety planning, entries - it’s all handled by this duo who balance it around full-time work and real life.

On the day, they’re joined by a crew of trusted volunteers who help run things trackside. These legends step in when it counts, help keep the day moving, and bring the vibe that makes each event feel like a community (even if they need a few days to recover afterward).

Stewy Bryant

With more than two decades of experience in drifting, Stewy is known for his high-skill, high-commitment driving style (as seen on inertiaMS - YouTube) and deep understanding of what makes a great drift event. He’s spent years behind the wheel at tracks around the world, and that knowledge now goes directly into designing events that challenge drivers, excite spectators, and raise the bar for drifting in South Australia.

Stewy’s impact on the local scene is massive - from designing the drift track at The Bend Motorsport Park to developing his own range of steering kits through Acostal Motorsport Development, he’s constantly pushing the sport forward. His dedication, creativity, and ability to run events that are both safe and fun are a huge part of why the local drift community continues to grow.

Renae Sullivan

Renae is the operations and logistics brain behind the scenes, handling everything that makes an event function smoothly. She manages the website, entry system, admin, emails, scheduling, volunteer coordination, licensing, insurance, social media - and then somehow still finds time to drift herself on the day (not to mention work a full-time job elsewhere).

Beyond events, Renae also supports new drivers through Drift School, mentors women entering the sport, and is a founding member of the Glitter Gang Drift Club — a women-led drift initiative that’s getting serious traction in SA. She’s also played a key role in elevating the sport’s profile through successful grant applications and advocacy work. (See more here: Inside the Glitter Gang Drift Club, SA’s female-only drift driving club).
